Dr. Olivia Murtagh is an Instructor in the Department of Chemistry at Mississippi State University. She earned her Ph.D. in Chemistry from The University of Texas at Austin, an M.S. in Chemistry from the University of Virginia, and a B.S. in Chemistry from Mississippi State University. Her teaching and mentoring experience includes general chemistry and organic chemistry instruction, undergraduate research mentoring, and graduate teaching roles at both The University of Texas at Austin and the University of Virginia. Her graduate research background in analytical chemistry, lipidomics, activity-based protein profiling, and mass spectrometry informs her approach to helping students connect chemical principles with modern experimental methods and real-world applications.
