Tom Fisher graduated summa cum laude from Westminster College located in his hometown of Fulton, Missouri. He received a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Illinois in 1964 and after two years in the United States Army Chemical Corp., he joined the Chemistry Department at Mississippi State University in 1966. Dr. Fisher retired in 2001, and no longer directs graduate students.
