Dr. Amanda Patrick, Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Mississippi State University, is one of 35 junior faculty members chosen to receive the Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU) Ralph E. Powe Junior Faculty Enhancement Award this year.

Dr. Patrick was one of 167 applicants, nominated by their respective universities to compete for this prestigious award, which recognizes the quality and promise of the research being conducted by junior faculty members at ORAU member institutions.

As part of this award, ORAU provides $5,000 to support Dr. Patrick’s research for one year, which will be matched by the university for a total of $10,000. Dr. Patrick’s research project is titled “Isomeric and Isobaric Post-Translational Modifications of Peptides Characterized by Ion Mobility Spectrometry Coupled to Mass Spectrometry”.
