ChemDawgs took excellent advantage of the proximate Birmingham venue to show the latest and greatest in MSU Chemistry research at the Southeastern Regional Meeting of the ACS (SERMACS), held November 10-13, 2021. With over 40 faculty, grad students, postdoc students, and undergrads from the Department giving nearly 25 papers and presentations, the ChemDawg team supported our neighbors and the SERMACS mission with an unprecedented turnout. Many faculty served as organizers and session chairs in addition to invited lectures in many sessions. In particular, The ChemDawg recruiting booth (shown), led by Prof. Keith Hollis, greeted curious attendees and enjoyed encouraging interest in our growing program. SERMACS is commonly considered the biggest and best regional meeting of the ACS.
